Organizations Filed Purposes:
NADCO provides a medium through which members can confer, consult, and cooperate with governmental or other agencies in solving problems affecting members.
To provide a medium where members consult with governmental agencies to solve problems.
Meetings: NADCO organizes industry meetings as forums for all CDC and affiliate members to come together to learn about many topics of interest to members - such as updates on congressional actions that may impact the SBA 504 program, actions or proposals by SBA, other financial or technical program issues, and items of general interest to members. NADCO generally holds one mid-year annual meeting and may offer one symposium per year.
Professional Education: NADCO provides the only education for CDC staff and attorneys which focuses solely on the SBA 504 loan program. These courses are delivered in-person twice a year - once in conjunction with the annual meeting and once in the winter/early spring. These courses are generally two or three days, many of which require either industry and 504 experience, or prerequisites of certain NADCO courses. The courses focus on all aspects of 504 loan packaging, closing, servicing, and liquidation. NADCO also offers more limited on-line courses.
Government Relations: One of NADCO's primary missions is to represent the CDC membership at various governmental levels. This includes both the Congress and the Small Business Administration. NADCO advises the staff of the House and Senate small business committees on industry and 504 concerns and recommends courses of action as needed when Congress is considering legislation affecting either the SBA or the 504 loan programs. NADCO also works closely with management and field staff of the SBA in developing and managing loan policies, regulations, and practices. Our objective is to ensure that reasonable policies are developed which do not hinder CDC abilities to deliver 504 to small businesses.
