Organizations Filed Purposes: TO PROMOTE THE NATIONAL AGENDA FOR FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR AND BUILD CAPACITY FOR ITS MEMBERS TO DELIVER THE HIGHEST QUALITY FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND COUNSELING SERVICES. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS STATEMENT IS CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)THE NFCC IS THE NATION'S LARGEST AND LONGEST SERVING NATIONAL NONPROFIT CREDIT COUNSELING NETWORK, WITH NEARLY 60 MEMBER AGENCIES AND OVER 370 OFFICES IN COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND ITS TERRITORIES. EACH YEAR, NFCC MEMBERS ASSIST MILLIONS OF CONSUMERS, HELPING MANY TO DRIVE DOWN THEIR DEBT AND TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR FINANCES.

THE NFCC MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE NONPROFIT CREDIT COUNSELING FIELD. (SEE FULL MISSION ON SCH O)

GENERAL FINANCIAL EDUCATION: DEVELOP AND DISTRIBUTE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS ON THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF CREDIT; SUPPORT COALITIONS OF ORGANIZATIONS NATIONALLY TO ADDRESS NEED FOR PERSONAL FINANCIAL LITERACY. SINCE 2013, THE FOUNDATION HAS DEVELOPED AND SUPPORTED THE USE OF THE SHARPEN YOUR FINANCIAL FOCUS INITIATIVE TO ASSIST CONSUMERS WITH DEBT RESOLUTION AND OTHER FINANCIAL CHALLENGES. IN 2015, THE FOUNDATION EXPANDED THE INITIATIVE TO ASSIST CONSUMERS WITH STUDENT LOAN DEBT IN MANAGING THEIR FINANCIAL BURDENS. IN 2018, THE FOUNDATION DEVELOPED A MULTI-PART PROGRAM DEDICATED TO SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS ON FINANCIAL LITERACY AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.

BEGAN DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FOR MEMBER AGENCIES TO BETTER SERVE CONSUMERS, INCLUDING THE DEBT REDUCTION PROGRAM WHICH EXPANDS DEBT MANAGEMENT PLAN PRODUCTS, AND ENVISIONING HOMEOWNERSHIP, A NEW APPROACH TO PRE-PURCHASE HOUSING COUNSELING. CONVENE ANNUAL MEMBER MEETING AND CONFERENCE, DEVEOP AND REVISE EXISTING COUNSELOR CERTIFICATION AND MEMBER ACCREDITATION RESOURCES. BUILD CONSUMER AWARENESS OF MEMBER SERVICES AND FACILITATE LOCATOR CONNECTIONS TO MEMBERS.

DEVELOP AND UPDATE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AVAILABLE TO SERVICEMEMBERS NATIONWIDE, MILITARY DEPENDENTS, AND THE VETERAN COMMUNITY TO ADDRESS AND IMPROVE FINANCIAL READINESS THROUGH THE RESPONSIBLE USE OF CREDIT. PROGRAM UTILIZES THE SHARPEN YOUR FINANCIAL FOCUS INITIATIVE. CONTINUE SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL COALITION OF MISSION-ALIGNED ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT MILITARY FINANCIAL EDUCATION.
