SAFETY NET - NNEDV PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, TRAININGS, RESOURCES, AND MORE RELATED TO TECHNOLOGY SAFETY THROUGH OUR SAFETY NET PROGRAM. WE ADDRESS THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON THE SAFETY, PRIVACY, ACCESSIBILITY, AND CIVIL RIGHTS OF VICTIMS. IN 2019, WE TRAINED APPROXIMATELY 9,610 PRACTITIONERS ON TOPICS INCLUDING SAFE VICTIM RELOCATION, TECHNOLOGY USE AND MISUSE, CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVACY, AND ENHANCING VICTIM SERVICES THROUGH TECHNOLOGY. NNEDV ALSO HOSTS AN ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT, A MULTI-DAY CONFERENCE THAT BRINGS TOGETHER ADVOCATES, ATTORNEYS, LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS, VICTIM SERVICE PROVIDERS, FACULTY AND TECHNOLOGISTS TO ADDRESS THE INTERSECTIONS OF TECHNOLOGY SAFETY AND PRIVACY
WOMENSLAW - NNEDV WORKS TO FILL THE GAPS IN THE LEGAL SYSTEM BY EQUIPPING SURVIVORS WITH UNDERSTANDABLE, RELEVANT INFORMATION ON THEIR OPTIONS FOR PROTECTION IN THEIR STATE/TERRITORY, IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH. THROUGH WOMENSLAW.ORG, THE EMAIL HOTLINE, AND OUTREACH TO THE LATINA/O COMMUNITY, WE PROVIDE PLAIN-LANGUAGE LEGAL INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND STALKING. MORE THAN 1.4 MILLION UNIQUE USERS VISIT WOMENSLAW.ORG EACH YEAR.
CAPACITY TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE - NNEDV'S CAPACITY TA PROJECT PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING TO 56 STATE AND TERRITORY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COALITIONS, WHO IN TURN SUPPORT MANY LOCAL PROGRAMS SERVING VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. ACTIVITIES FOR THIS PROJECT INCLUDE HOLDING TRAININGS, PROVIDING IN DEPTH ASSISTANCE AND GUIDANCE ON EMERGING ISSUES, AS WELL AS PLANNING AND CONDUCTING TOPICAL AND NATIONAL MEETINGS. THIS PROJECT ALSO FACILITATES PEER TO PEER TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE; PROVIDES IN DEPTH REVIEWS OF POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AS NEEDED; PERFORMS SITE VISITS TO GRANTEES; AND PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL PROBLEM SOLVING WITH GRANTEES VIA PHONE, EMAIL AND IN-PERSON AS NEEDED.
