The organizations's mission is to provide the disabled community with the communication skills necessary to pursue a life in professional theatre and enhance their opportunities in the workplace. In addition, it advocates for persons with disabilities, including wounded service personnel in the theatre and offers a forum for dramatic literature on themes of disability. In order to support its primary mission, it had expanded its educational opportunities to include a school in the art of bread making and a professional bakery. However, presently the organization is inactive and has sold all of its fixed assets, and intends to contribute its cash asset to a similar non profit whose mission is congruent with NTWH's mission. All remaining cash was transferred to Dog Tag Inc in Washington DC, a non-profit with similar operational objectives.
