NIAC Action is a 501(c)(4) dedicated to building political power for the Iranian-American community to advance peace & diplomacy, secure equitable immigration policies, and protect the civil rights of all Americans.
1.Advancing Peace & DiplomacyNIAC Action helped turn the tide against war with Iran by helping secure bipartisan support for the Khanna-Gaetz amendment in the House and Senate.NIAC Action also secured commitments from 2020 Presidential candidates to return the Iran deal and helped pass a resolution in the 2019 DNC Platform committing to returning the U.S. to our obligations under the Iran deal. 2.Securing Equitable Immigration Policies NIAC Action also helped pass legislation to repeal the Muslim Ban by working with congressional allies and other immigrant groups to advocate for the NO BAN Act, which ultimately ended up passing in the House. NIAC Action led the fight against legislation that would end the green card process for Iranians as we know it.
