CANADAIN CANADA, ONE ACTION PROPOSED A BOLD G7 INITIATIVE ON WOMEN'S ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT: THE 2X FINANCING FOR WOMEN CHALLENGE. EUROPE: IN EUROPE ONE ACTION RAN MULTIPLE CAMPAIGNS INCLUDING THE MULTIANNUAL FINANCIAL FRAMEWORK (MFF) ASKING EU MEMBER STATES TO ADOPT AN OVERALL AID BUDGET OF 140 BILLION EUROS AND TO FULFILL THEIR COLLECTIVE COMMITMENT TO ALLOCATE 0.7% OF THEIR GROSS NATIONAL INCOME (GNI) TO AID, AS WELL AS TARGETED LOBBYING OF GOVERNMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATION (GPE) WHICH DIRECTLY RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT INCREASES FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR EDUCATION (GPE)IN FRANCE, ONE SUCCESSFULLY INFLUENCED MACRON'S GOVERNMENT TO INCREASE THE FRENCH ALLOCATION FOR THE GPE TO $250 MILLION. ONE COLLECTED 1.3 MILLIONS ACTIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE GPE FUND FOR THE UK DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, LEADING TO THE UK GOVERNMENT PLEDGING 225 MILLION TO THE GPE. IN THE NETHERLANDS, ONLINE ACTIONS, OP-EDS, PETITIONS, WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS CONTRIBUTED TO THE GOVERNMENT MAKING A PLEDGE OF 100 MILLION EUROS. THE CAMPAIGN RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN ODA AND GAINED POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM POLITICAL STAKEHOLDERS.#ONEVOTEITALIA ONE'S YOUTH AMBASSADORS MET WITH 45 DECISION MAKERS RESULTING IN 52 SENATORS PRESENTING A MOTION IN PARLIAMENT CALLING THE GOVERNMENT TO ACT ON ONE'S POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS. TO AMPLIFY THE OUTREACH OF THE CAMPAIGN, YOUTH AMBASSADORS ALSO GENERATED OVER 30 ARTICLES AND INTERVIEWS ON LOCAL MEDIA.
AFRICA: IN 2018, ONE IN NIGERIA LAUNCHED THE VOTE YOUR FUTURE (VYF) CAMPAIGN WITH OVER 2,500 YOUNG NIGERIANS, MEMBERS OF FAITH COMMUNITIES, PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANTS, INFLUENCERS AND MEDIA PARTNERS. THE LAUNCH AD KICKED-OFF THE CAMPAIGN FOLLOWED BY THE DEVELOPMENT OF A POLICY BRIEF AND THE LAUNCH OF THE YOUTH DECLARATION. WORKING WITH TRACE NAIJA, A NIGERIAN MEDIA BROADCASTING CHANNEL, 34,774 CITIZENS SIGNED THE YOUTH DECLARATION WHICH WAS POSTED ON THE ONE WEBSITE. UNDER THE MAKE NAIJA STRONGER (MNS) CAMPAIGN, 220,000 PEOPLE SIGNED ONE'S ONLINE PETITION TO PRESIDENT BUHARI, DEMANDING ACTION TO BOLSTER THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. PRESIDENT BUHARI SIGNED THE 2018 FEDERAL BUDGET, WHICH INCLUDED AN INCREASE OF NIGERIAN 55.1 BILLION ($153 MILLION), REPRESENTING 1% OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR THE PRIMARY HEALTHCARE PROVISION FUND.
