Organizations Filed Purposes:
To fight air inequality by opening up air quality data and connecting a diverse global, grassroots community of individuals and organizations.
OpenAQ scaled our data platform to address global air inequality. The platform received an estimated 22 million data requests per month. OpenAQ used funding from this program to (1) build a metadata editor for metadata input by the OpenAQ community and to integrate universal station naming system into OpenAQ, and (2) incorporate air quality data from several new countries, which expanded the number of stations in the OpenAQ platform to 10000 stations.
OpenAQ used funding from its program partners and contributors to provide support to communities around the world interested in applying open data to local air pollution issues.
