Organizations Filed Purposes: TO EXPAND ACCESS TO CAREER OPPORTUNITIES SO THAT ALL AMERICANS CAN WORK, LEARN, AND EARN TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL IN A DYNAMIC ECONOMY.

SEE PART III, LINE 1.

OUR MISSION AT OPPORTUNITY@WORK IS TO REWIRE THE U.S. LABOR MARKET SO THAT ALL INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT 4-YEAR DEGREES, BUT WHO ARE SKILLED THROUGH ALTERNATIVE ROUTES (STARS), CAN WORK, LEARN, AND EARN TO THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. OPPORTUNITY@WORK AIMS TO OVERCOME THE SYSTEMIC BARRIERS TO EMPLOYERS RECOGNIZING, INVESTING IN, AND HIRING STARS INTO BETTER PAID JOBS. IN 2019, WE INVESTED IN RESEARCH, MARKETING, PARTNERSHIPS, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO OPEN UP HIGHER PAID EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO STARS BASED ON THEIR SKILLS. WE WORKED TO ALIGN MAJOR COMPANIES AND WORKFORCE NON-PROFITS BEHIND STARS AS A TALENT CATEGORY, (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)CONDUCTED QUANTITATIVE AND QUALITATIVE RESEARCH TO PROVE THE PREVALENCE OF OVERLOOKED TALENT AND ELEVATE STARS OWN VOICES. OUR PRODUCT ENGINEERING TEAM BUILT A MARKETPLACE PLATFORM TO ENABLE INCLUSIVE TRAINING PROVIDERS AND EMPLOYERS TO CONNECT TO MATCH STARS INTO GOOD JOBS. WE ESTABLISHED PARTNERSHIPS TO SUPPORT THE DEPLOYMENT OF SOLUTIONS TO FACILITATE UPWARD MOBILITY FOR STARS IN BUSINESS ECOSYSTEMS AND IN REGION-SPECIFIC LABOR MARKETS. WE CONTINUED TO TEST INNOVATIVE FINANCING SOLUTIONS FOR STARS WORKING LEARNERS AND NON-PROFIT TRAINING PROVIDERS.

TALENT FINANCING SOLUTIONSWE USED TWO PILOTS TO TEST INNOVATIVE FINANCING MECHANISMS (IN THIS CASE, INCOME SHARE AGREEMENTS), TRACKING REPAYMENT METRICS AFTER TRAINING TO HELP US AND THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FIELD TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE SCALABILITY OF TRAINING AND SUSTAINABILITY FOR DIFFERENT FUNDERS/INVESTORS. WE DEVELOPED AND LAUNCHED A SECOND PILOT (THE TURING PILOT) WITH THE TURING SCHOOL OF SOFTWARE AND DESIGN, A NONPROFIT TRAINING PROVIDER LOCATED IN DENVER COLORADO IN LATE 2018 THAT CONTINUED TO 2019, (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)IN ADDITION TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY PILOT FROM 2018. BOTH PILOTS INCREASED ACCESS TO TECHNICAL TRAINING AND CREDENTIALING FOR PEOPLE FROM LOW INCOME, LOW CREDIT BACKGROUND TO FINANCE THEIR EDUCATION AND TIE THE FINANCING OF THEIR TRAINING TO CAREER OUTCOMES.
