Supporting family civic engagement - ParentsTogether helps parents engage in our democracy, to ensure that our elected representatives take the concerns of families into account, and so that parents can be role models who help their children develop lifelong habits of democratic participation. Our #FamilyVote program helps parents to bring their children with them to the polls, and then encourage other parents to vote. In 2018, our community delivered over 5 million #FamilyVote reminders to friends and family, highlighting the importance of the election to families.
Advocating for family-friendly policies - ParentsTogether helps parents raise their voices together to encourage our leaders to adopt policies that help families thrive: support for public education, paid family leave, affordable childcare, health care, family economic and food security, humane immigration policies, common-sense measures to curb gun violence, and more.
Supporting dual language Latinx families - ParentsTogether supports Latinx parents who want to raise children who speak both Spanish and English. We use mobile messaging to provide songs, games, activities and tips to help parents support Spanish fluency among English-dominant kids. We also provide tools and resources to support civic engagement by Latinx parents, to ensure that issues of importance to Latinx families receive the attention they deserve.
