Organizations Filed Purposes:
Patients For Affordable Drugs Now works at the community, state, and federal levels to mobilize patients to support legislation to lower drug prices. It also engages in a limited number of electoral campaigns to elevate the issue of high drug prices in political debate.
Federal Legislature Program: P4ADNOW's goal is to help achieve policy reforms at the federal and state levels that will lower drug prices. We do our work by collecting and amplifying patient stories, and by training and deploying patients as advocates. Our federal and state work includes organizing letter writing campaigns to a patient's elected representatives, arranging meetings with the patient's elected officials, running advertisements encouraging bipartisan action to lower drug prices, and briefing and preparing background materials for advocates who have been invited to testify at Congressional hearings. We have built a community of more than 30,000 patients and allies who are struggling under skyrocketing prescription drug prices and want to fix our broken system.
General Program: P4ADNOW staff is comprised of health policy and media experts, as well as patient advocates, who use their skills and experience to elevate the voice of all patients in the pursuit of drug price reform.
