Organizations Filed Purposes: RUN HOPE WORK IS ORGANIZED AND OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES, INCLUDING OFFERING SKILLS TRAINING FOR FINISHING TRADES AND A LIFESTYLE PROGRAM TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND BASIC LIFE MANAGEMENT SKILLS.

PHYSICAL FITNESS & DISCIPLINE (RUN): PHYSICAL FITNESS TRAINING IS A SIGNIFICANT PART OF THIS PROGRAM AND SUPPORTS THE OVERALL GOAL OF JOB READINESS.MANY OF THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROGRAM DO NOT HAVE STABLE HOUSING, ARE HOMELESS, OR ARE IN TRANSITIONAL LIVING ARRANGEMENTS. ADDITIONALLY, MANY PARTICIPANTS ARE IN OR HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. MANY LACK THE DISCIPLINE REQUIRED TO HOLD A JOB, SUCH AS WAKING UP EARLY AND BEING ON-TIME FOR WORK. AN EARLY MORNING RUN IS A REQUIREMENT OF THE PROGRAM. THIS BEGINS TO BUILD THE SKILLS REQUIRED TO BE READY FOR WORK IN THE MORNING. PARTICIPANT JOB RETENTION IS VERY IMPORTANT TO OUR PARTICIPANTS AND TO OUR PROGRAM AND THIS ASPECT OF THE PROGRAM IS A MAJOR MOTIVATIONAL FACTOR TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS.

LIFE, SPIRITUAL, AND MOTIVATIONAL SKILLS (HOPE): ANOTHER SERVICE RUN HOPE WORK PROVIDES IS HOPE TRAINING. THIS IS IN THE FORM OF LIFE, SPIRITUAL AND MOTIVATIONAL TRAINING. TRAINING IN THIS AREA IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH HOPE WORKSHOPS, WHICH CONSISITS OF GROUP WORKSHOPS, INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS AND LEADERSHIP LECTURES. GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS ARE CENTERED AROUND PARTICIPANT DEVELOPEMENT THROUGH GROUP SHARING AND INDIVIDUAL EXCERCISES. ALONG WITH THESE WORKSHOPS, LEADERS IN THE COMMUNITY ARE INVITED TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES TO PROVIDE MESSAGES OF HOPE AND INSPIRATION TO BOLSTER THE SPIRIT AND MOTIVATE PARTICIPANTS IN BECOMING NEW LEADERS IN THEIR COMMUNITY.

JOB SKILLS TRAINING (WORK): RUN HOPE WORK IS A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR CONSTRUCTION FINISH TRADES. ONE OF THE PRIMARY GOALS OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PREPARE PARTICIPANTS FOR EMPLOYMENT IN CONSTRUCTION TRADES SO THAT JOBS CAN BE EARNED AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM. MOST OF THIS PREPARATION OCCURS IN BOOK-LEARNING AND HANDS-ON CONSTRUCTION TRADE TRAINING.PARTICIPANTS LEARN THE PRIMARY SKILLS IN THE INSTALLATION FIELDS OF MILLWORK, FLOORING, DRYWALL, AND PAINTING. ADDITIONALLY, PARTICIPANTS LEARN SOFT SKILLS SUCH AS RESUME BUILDING AND EFFECTIVE INTERVIEWING.
