SCHOOL LEADER LAB DOES THIS BY PARTNERING WITH SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL NETWORKS TO BUILD THEIR INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP BENCH - BY DEVELOPING TEAMS AND GROWING ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY FOR LEADER DEVELOPMENT.NATIONAL RESEARCH SHOWS THAT SCHOOL LEADERSHIP IS THE MOST CRITICAL LEVER TO SCHOOL PERFORMANCE. IN A COMPETITIVE TALENT MARKET, CHARTER SCHOOL LEADERS HAVE IDENTIFIED THIS AS A TOP PRIORITY. THE CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT, SUSTAINABILITY, AND GROWTH OF ITS PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS HEAVILY DEPENDENT ON A ROBUST PIPELINE OF INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERS. CURRENT INSTRUCTIONAL LEADER DEVELOPMENT OFFERINGS MISS THE MARK IN SEVERAL WAYS. THE PROGRAM'S PRIMARY DELIVERY AT LAUNCH IS A 13-MONTH INTENSIVE COHORT EXPERIENCE FOR ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS, PRINCIPAL, AND PRINCIPAL SUPERVISORS WHICH INCLUDES: APPROXIMATELY 25 DAYS OF IN-PERSON TRAINING.PROJECTS: CAPACITY-BUILDING PROJECT ENGAGEMENTS WITH PUBLIC SCHOOLS, WITH AN INITIAL FOCUS ON CHARTER SCHOOLS. SCHOOL LEADER LAB OFFER CUSTOM PROJECTS TO CHARTER SCHOOLS IN THE AREA OF SCHOOL LEADER DEVELOPMENT. FOR EXAMPLE, BUILDING A TEACHER LEADER RUBRIC AND TRAINING PROGRAM; OR, REDESIGNING AN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE TO SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF LEADERS THROUGH THEIR ROLES.COACHING: INDIVIDUAL ONE-TO-ONE COACHING OF SCHOOL LEADERS ON A CONTRACT BASIS, TYPICALLY 6-8 MONTH BI-LY ENGAGEMENTS.
