IT ALSO OFFERS MONTHLY TRAINING AND PEER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES OPEN TO ALL DC PUBLIC AND CHARTER SCHOOLS. IN ADDITION TO THIS, RESTORATIVE DC PARTNERS WITH OTHER DC STAKEHOLDERS TO PROVIDE RESTORATIVE ALTERNATIVES TO SUSPENSION, EXPULSION, ARREST, OR PROSECUTION THROUGH REFERRALS FROM SCHOOLS, POLICE, AND PROSECUTORS.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE - HOSTS A WEBSITE THAT PROVIDES A CLEARINGHOUSE OF RESOURCES FOR YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES AND THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT THEM. THE SITE INCLUDES INFORMATION ON THE TRANSITION OF STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES INTO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, AND INDEPENDENT LIVING. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO DISSEMINATES A BI-WEEKLY NEWSLETTER WITH RESOURCES AND EVENTS RELATED TO TRANSITION OF YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES AND HOST AN ANNUAL SECONDARY TRANSITION COMMUNITY FAIR AND FORUM FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES, SCHOOLS, TEACHERS, FAMILIES, GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS, AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND EMPLOYMENT-RELATED PROGRAMS FOR DC YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES, INCLUDING SUMMER EMPLOYMENT, INTERNSHIPS, EMPLOYER DEVELOPMENT, VIDEO RESUMES, AND SELF DETERMINATION ACTIVITIES.
