Sitar Arts Center's mission is to offer possibilities that transform the lives of children and teens born into a world of unequal access to opportunity. We achieve the mission by engaging children and teens in the highest quality visual, performing and digital arts programming.

Arts Afterschool: We offer afternoon and Saturday arts classes for students in kindergarten through age 18 during the fall and spring semesters. Classes are in dance, drama, digital arts, music, visual arts, and creative writing. The arts afterschool program is open only to DC residents. Tuition is on a sliding scale based on household income.
Early Childhood Arts: Sitar's Early Childhood Arts Program provides arts classes for babies and toddlers ages 0 to 6 with their parents or caregivers. The classes advance children's development, foster an early appreciation of the arts and provide an opportunities for bonding between the child and parent, as well as interaction with other parents, caregivers and children. Classes are in Music, Dance, Creative Movement, Visual Arts, and Bilingual Drama. Tuition is based on a sliding scale.
