(DOMESTIC) ADVOCACY/ COMMUNICATIONS/ RESEARCH/ YOUTH SERVICES:SUPPORTED THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE'S 1999 CIVIL LAWSUIT AGAINST THE MAJOR TOBACCO COMPANIES; ADVOCATED FOR FUNDING FOR TOBACCO PREVENTION AND TOBACCO CESSATION PROGRAMS AS WELL AS EXPANDED INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR CESSATION SERVICES; CONTINUED TO SUPPORT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION'S AUTHORITY OVER TOBACCO PRODUCTS; PLANNED AND IMPLEMENTED STATE-WIDE ADVOCACY CAMPAIGNS THAT HOLD ELECTED OFFICIALS ACCOUNTABLE FOR TOBACCO ISSUES, PROMOTE THE PROVEN SOLUTIONS THAT REDUCE TOBACCO USE AND GENERATE VOTER SUPPORT FOR INITIATIVES THAT ADVANCE TOBACCO-CONTROL.
GLOBAL ADVOCACY INCUBATOR:AN INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM THAT MANAGES A UNIT THAT TRAINS AND ADVISES OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ON THE CONDUCT OF HEALTH POLICY CAMPAIGNS IN LOW AND MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRIES.
