TO PROMOTE BINATIONAL UNDERSTANDING AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND MEXICO.

THE U.S.-MEXICO 360 PUBLIC DIPLOMACY INITIATIVE, FROM THE U.S.-MEXICO FOUNDATION, PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR U.S. LEADERS FROM BUSINESSES, THINK TANKS AND OTHER RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS, ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES, AND NGOS TO MEET COUNTERPARTS ON A PROFESSIONAL STUDY TOUR IN MEXICO. PARTICIPANTS REPRESENT A DIVERSE SET OF INSTITUTIONS, AND MANY ASPECTS OF U.S.-MEXICO POLICY, INCLUDING POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT, ECONOMICS AND TRADE, ENERGY, EDUCATION, MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS, AND RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY. THE PROGRAM GIVES A 360-DEGREE VIEW OF U.S.-MEXICO RELATIONS, CURRENT AFFAIRS, AND A GLIMPSE INTO MEXICAN CULTURE. IN 2019, WE HOSTED NEARLY 100 PARTICIPANTS.

EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION FUND: THROUGH THIS FUND, THE USMF PROVIDES GRANTS TO LOCAL NGOS WHO DO WORK IN AREAS ALIGNED WITH THE USMF'S MISSION. WE SUPPORT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE AREAS OF STEM, ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. AS PART OF THE USMF'S GRANT-GIVING ACTIVITIES, WE CO-DESIGNED AND SPONSORED, ALONG WITH ENSEA POR MEXICO (TEACH FOR MEXICO), THE "CLASSROOMS WITHOUT A BORDER" PROGRAM. WE SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS LIKE BROOKINGS TO CONDUCT HIGH-QUALITY, INDEPENDENT RESEARCH AND PROVIDE INNOVATIVE, PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO SOLVE THE CHALLENGES BETWEEN THE US-MEXICO RELATION. WE ALSO SUPPORT INITIATIVES LIKE "CLUBES DE CIENCIA" TO TAKE STEM PROFESSIONALS FROM MIT, HARVARD AND OTHER TOP U.S. UNIVERSITIES TO MEXICO TO TEACH STEM TO COLLEGE STUDENTS. OTHER INITIATIVES INCLUDE THE SPONSORSHIP OF DOCUMENTARIES AND MOVIES THAT SHOWCASE THE STRUGGLES AND CONTRIBUTIONS OF IMMIGRANTS IN THE U.S. AMONG OUR GRANTEES WE SUPPORTED INROADS MEXICO AND THE KALUZ FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT RECONSTRUCTION.
