Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of Tech Alpharetta, Inc. is to help to grow innovation and technology in the City of Alpharetta. Tech Alpharetta has three service pillars: (1)strategic advisory board of local tech C-level executives, (2)startup incubator and (3)programming arm that holds Tech thought leadership events for the local Tech community.

Incubator Metrics-All metrics met or exceeded for 2019. Highlights:In 2019, Tech Alpharettas Innovation Center (startup incubator) had 56 tech startup company members and provided 236 mentoring sessions, 141 educational programs, 11 visits from Venture Capital firms and assisted members in securing more than $25 million in funding. More than 2100 meetings were held in our Innovation Center, with350 people monthly visiting the center. 2019 projected number of startup companies at Tech Alpharetta:48; actual 56 companies headquartered at Tech Alpharetta.2019 projected graduate companies:2; actuals 2 (Companies graduate when they outgrow our incubator space and move to commercial office space). For 2019, 10 Lunch and Learn sessions were projected; 17 were conducted in 2019 with over 141 startup members attending those Lunch and Learns in 2019.2019 Venture Capital firm visits to our Center: projected 6 visits; actuals 11Tech Alpharetta partners with the Atlanta Technology Development Center (ATDC), the nations oldest incubator, located in downtown Atlanta. Tech Alpharetta also hosts a Kaufman Foundation entrepreneur meetup call Million Cups of Coffee. In 2019, Tech Alpharetta projected 66 ATDC and Million Cups meetups, and 94 were actually held. Tech Alpharetta projected that CPA and law firms would hold 30 office hours with our startups in 2019. Actual office hours held: 89.Other Meetups being held at the Center: projected to hold 2 monthly in 2019, but 5 actually held monthly. Our startups benefit from our group of highly experienced mentors. For 2019, we projected 12 startups to be mentored but actuals were 38 startups mentored in 236 total mentoring sessions in 2019.Branding and PR Metrics-All Metrics met or exceeded2019 Social Media Posts were projected to be 225, when actuals were 400. 20 million impressions were projected for 2019 and 38 million projections were actually measured in 2019.250 news/media articles quoting or mentioning Tech Alpharetta were projected for 2019 and 376 were actually generated in 2019.12 original blogs for 2019 were projected and 12 were actually generated in 2019. 5 Executive Spotlight Videos were projected for 2019 and 7 were actually conducted.Tech Alpharettas website was projected to be redesigned in 2019 and that new website was launched 6/4/2019.6 press releases were projected and 6 were generated in 2019.Tech Alpharetta was projected to host 15 tech events, hosting 700 tech executives in 2019. Actuals were 16 tech events conducted with more than 750 tech execs attending.Organizational partnerships (Chamber of Commerce, etc.) grew to over 30 in 2019. 90 weekly newsletters to tech subscribers were projected in 2019 and 96 newsletters were actually generated.Tech Alpharetta was to participate in 6 metro speaking engagements in 2019. Actual participation: 10 engagements. Tech Alpharetta was to launch the Womens Forum in 2019 and that was launched 4/19 with 30 charter members.Board MetricsFor 2019, 10 projected Board meetings; actuals were 10 Board meetings held.6 Board Committees and 30 Committee meetings were projected for 2019; 6 Board Committees held 30 Committee meetings in 2019.The Board was projected to grow to 30 tech companies in 2019 (compared to 18 at end of 2018 and 10 at end of 2017). Additionally, 3 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) from enterprise, non-tech companies were to be added in 2019. As of the end of 2019, there were 29 tech company board members (with 3 additional Board members pending and secured in January 2020). 12 tech company members and 1 non -tech CIO were added. (1 Board member was terminated in 2019 for lack of participation in 2019, which reduced the total count from 30 to 29 Board members in 2019.)75% of Alpharettas largest employers were projected to be represented on Tech Alpharettas Board in 2019; 83% were actually on the Board in 2019.Tech Alpharettas website was to add a Board of Directors page in 2019, which as accomplished and seen at https://www.techalpharetta.com/strategicboard/)100% of new Board companies were to become sponsors of Tech Alpharetta in 2019 and Tech Alpharetta accomplished that, other than its new startup member of the Board, who was exempted from that requirement. 50% of all Board companies were to become sponsors in 2019 and 75% in 2020; in 2019, 70% of Board companies were actually sponsors and 60% of those were monetary sponsors, compared to 22% of the Board in 2018.)
