IN 2019, ACTION MINISTRIES SERVED 71,585 INDIVIDUALS, PROVIDED 1,768,621 MEALS TO PERSONS IN NEED, INCLUDING 627,000 MEALS SPECIFICALLY TO CHILDREN AT RISK. THESE MEALS ARE PROVIDED THROUGH A NETWORK OF PROGRAM LOCATIONS THAT INCLUDE COMMUNITY KITCHENS, FOOD PANTRIES, THE SCHOOL SYSTEM, AND A MOBILE FEEDING PROGRAM.
ACTION MINISTRIES PROVIDED HOUSING SOLUTIONS FOR 1,250 PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS DURING 2019 IN GEORGIA ACROSS 54 COUNTIES. THESE SOLUTIONS INCLUDE PROGRAMS THAT WORK SPECIFICALLY WITH FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, VETERANS, PERSONS LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, AND THE CHRONICALLY DISABLED. ACTION MIMISTRIES OPERATES 3 SCATTERES SITE PROGRAMS TO SERVE FAMILIES, VETERANS, AND PERSONS WITH HIV/AIDS. PERSONS WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS ARE SERVED IN 1 OF 2 PROJECT SITES IN ATLANTA AND AUGUSTA.
ACTION MINISTRIES WORKS TO HELP CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS LEAVE POVERTY THROUGH EDUCATION AND TRAINING. ALONGSIDE ITS SIGNATURE HUNGER AND HOUSING PROGRAMS, ACTION MINISTRIES ENGAGES ITS CLIENTS WITH TARGETED EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES THAT WILL ASSIST WITH SECURING EMPLOYMENT, ADVANCING IN SCHOOL, AND PLANNING FOR A BETTER FUTURE.
