The organization was formed to promote belief in the universalism of Judaisms ethical and spiritual values and teachings to give voice to these convictions and to formulate ways and means of giving greater emphasis to these doctrines in Jewish life and thought and to secure wider recogniton and appreciation of such doctrines and convictions.
To promote the American Jewish experience through the publication of Special Interest Report a triannual newsletter and ISSUES a triannual journal containing articles and reviews.
