Organizations Filed Purposes: SERVES THE INTEREST OF MULTIFAMILY HOUSING OWNERS, MANAGERS, DEVELOPERS AND SUPPLIERS AND PROMOTES A HIGH LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM IN THE MULTIFAMILY INDUSTRY TO BETTER SERVE THE RENTAL NEEDS OF THE PUBLIC.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS REPRESENTATION: 1) DEVELOPED POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, COUNTY AND STATE LEADERS. 2) SPONSORED AND ATTENDED CONFERENCES WITH LOCAL OFFICIALS AND STAFF, INCLUDING THE GEORGIA MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION (GMA) AND THE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GEORGIA (ACCG), TO BETTER HELP MUNICIPALITIES UNDERSTAND THE POSITIVE IMPACT THAT MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING HAS ON A COMMUNITY.

MEETINGS AND EXPOSITIONS: 1) HELD FOUR LARGE MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS, WITH ATTENDANCE OF 450 TO 900 AT EACH ONE, TO KEEP MEMBERS INFORMED AND ENCOURAGE POSITIVE INTERACTION BETWEEN OWNERS, MANAGERS AND SUPPLIERS OF THE MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING INDUSTRY. 2) HELD AN ANNUAL TRADE SHOW WITH MORE THAN 400 EXHIBITORS AND ATTENDANCE OF OVER 2,200 TO BRING TOGETHER OWNERS, MANAGERS AND SUPPLIERS TO SHOWCASE AND DEMONSTRATE SERVICES, TECHNOLOGIES AND EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO HELP APARTMENT COMMUNITIES OPERATE EFFICIENTLY. 3) CONDUCTED AN ANNUAL FOOD-A-THON THAT RAISED ENOUGH FOOD AND CASH TO PROVIDE IN EXCESS OF 8 MILLION MEALS THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ATLANTA COMMUNITY FOOD BANK.

EDUCATION: 1) CONDUCTED MORE THAN 40 CLASSES WITH TOTAL ATTENDANCE OF MORE THAN 1,000. CLASSES INCLUDED: A) CERTIFICATION CLASSES FOR STUDENTS TO EARN NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED APARTMENT DESIGNATIONS, THEREBY INCREASING THEIR SKILLS FOR OPERATING APARTMENT COMMUNITIES. B) MAINTENANCE CLASSES COVERING A WIDE ARRAY OF TOPICS SUCH AS CERTIFIED POOL OPERATOR AND EPA CERTIFICATION, TO ENABLE THE STUDENTS TO MORE EFFECTIVELY MAINTAIN THEIR COMMUNITIES. C) TAX CREDIT TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION COURSES. 2) CONDUCTED TWO APARTMENT MARKET OUTLOOK SEMINARS WITH TOTAL ATTENDANCE OF NEARLY 900, TO CONVEY INFORMATION ABOUT THE ECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE MULTIFAMILY HOUSING INDUSTRY, AS WELL AS A FORECAST OF WHAT MAY HAPPEN IN THE MARKET.
