THE ATLANTA TIP OFF CLUB ADMINISTERS THE NAISMITH AWARDS AND ANNUALLY HONORS THE TOP NATIONAL PLAYERS, COACHES, OFFICIALS, AND ADMINISTRATORS FOR BASKETBALL EXCELLENCE. WINNERS ARE DETERMINED THROUGH SEPARATE VOTING ACADEMIES. PLAYER OF THE YEAR WINNERS ARE RECOGNIZED DURING THE NCAA FINAL FOUR, WHILE COACHES ARE HONORED AT THE NCAA FINAL FOUR OR ON THEIR COLLEGE CAMPUSES.

THE ATLANTA TIPOFF CLUB FINISHED THE 2019 FISCAL YEAR IN TERRIFIC SHAPE, HAVING CELEBRATED ANOTHER TREMENDOUS BASKETBALL SEASON, WHILE SEE GROWTH IN REVENUE AND ON OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS. ONCE AGAIN, WE THRIVED IN SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVATION, GENERATING TREMENDOUS IMPRESSIONS FOR OUR BRAND AND OUR CONNECTIVITY TO SPONSORS. CITIZEN WATCH, THE TITLE SPONSOR OF THE COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD, PRESENTED CUSTOM COMMEMORATIVE WATCHES TO FORMER WINNERS DURING COLLEGE AND NBA GAMES, AND DURING BIG EVENTS. WERNER LADDER, TITLE SPONSOR OF THE COLLEGE COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD, EMBARKED ON A 10-CITY TOUR TO PROMOTE THE WERNER LADDER NAISMITH TROPHY. WE VISITED COLLEGE ARENAS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY, ALLOWING FANS TO TAKE PICTURES WITH THE ICONIC TROPHY. THE NAISMITH DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR PRESENTED BY BONA ROUNDED OUT OUR NATIONAL IN-SEASON AWARDS. AMONG THE HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2019: THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS GREW TO 31 MEMBERS, AND PROVIDED SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND RESOURCES TO THE ORGANIZATION. THE HAWKS-NAISMITH TIPOFF CLASSIC AND HOLIDAY CLASSIC EACH FEATURED 12 TOTAL BOYS AND GIRLS GAMES (24 TEAMS) A 50% INCREASE IN TEAM PARTICIPATION FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR 10 OF THE 14 NAISMITH AWARDS AND THE TOP 4 ATLANTA AWARDS HAVE CORPORATE SPONSORS 199,000 TOTAL FAN VOTES THE FINAL FOUR WEEKEND INCLUDED A VISIT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL TO ALLOW OUR NAISMITH AWARD FINALISTS TO SPEND TIME WITH ILL CHILDREN. IT WAS A REMARKABLY POWERFUL TIME FOR THE CHILDREN, PLAYERS AND OUR STAFF.
