Organizations Filed Purposes:
To educate and enrich the community with art narratives not typically available in other museums by providing a forum for open discussion of social issues and by providing a place for artists and members of different communities to share and enjoy art and cultures.
The Besharat Arts Foundation Inc. donated and installed thousands of enlarged photographs on blown-up canvas and framed prints for exhibition in various schools in multiple states. The photographs were installed in classrooms and all over the hallways of the schools. All of the featured photographs are from the Faces of Innocence collection shot by the renowned photographer Steve McCurry. This project accomplishes the Foundations mission by exposing the children to life and cultures in different parts of the world and by educating the children that despite the superficial differences in people, everyone is the same on the inside. The daily contact with the photograph installations in the hallways and classrooms promoted great discussion and empathy towards others in the children attending these schools.
