Organizations Filed Purposes:
Our goal is to increase power in marginalized, predominantly Black communities. Our mission is to provide information, training and resources to help build the capacity of community based organizations that are working towards social justice.
Accomplishments this year include: Expanded from 7 to 11 states and confirmed relationships with 120 partners. Additionally, over the last year we have continued to build the capacity of each partner organization, strengthen their ability to build a base of local contacts and shift the power building narrative via communication efforts including community events/forums, raising funds, etc. We sent out over 1,000,000 text messages and had dozens of placements in local and national media throughout all of our states. Additionally, we doubled our volunteers compared to the prior year.
