Organizations Filed Purposes: COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS INSPIRING CHARITABLE GIVING, BUILDING RESOURCES FOR THE FUTURE, AND CONNECTING DONORS WHO CARE WITH CAUSES THAT MATTER.

COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IS A PUBLIC CHARITY FOCUSED ON MAKING A LASTING IMPACT ON THE COBB COMMUNITY BY INSPIRING CHARITABLE GIVING, BY CREATING AWARENESS OF AND PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR THE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN COBB, AND BY CONNECTING THE COMMUNITY'S RESOURCES (PERSONAL, CORPORATE AND GOVERNMENTAL) WITH THE COMMUNITY'S NEEDS. COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION MADE FUNDHOLDER-RECOMMENDED GRANTS OF $863,000 AND ADMINISTERED AN APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS TO AWARD AN ADDITIONAL $100,000 IN COBB COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANTS AS A FIRST STEP TOWARD REPLACING FUNDING PREVIOUSLY MADE AVAILABLE BY THE COUNTY.

DONORS CONTRIBUTED NEARLY $2.6 MILLION TO VARIOUS TYPES OF DONOR FUNDS ESTABLISHED AT COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. APPROXIMATELY ONE-THIRD OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT CONTRIBUTED WAS, LIKEWISE, DISTRIBUTED BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY IN THE FORM OF GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS SERVING IN THE AREAS OF HEALTH, HUMAN SERVICES, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND THE ARTS WITH OVER 40% OF THOSE GRANTS BEING MADE TO NON-PROFITS PRIMARILY SERVING COBB COUNTY. THE BALANCE OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS REMAIN INVESTED IN DONOR FUNDS TO BE AVAILABLE TO MEET FUTURE NEEDS. THE FOUNDATION RECEIVED $158,588 IN FEES FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF CHARITABLE FUNDS WHICH NOT ONLY HELPS TO COVER ASSOCIATED EXPENSES BUT ALSO HELPS TO FUND OTHER INITIATIVES WHICH PROVIDE SUPPORT TO OUR COMMUNITY.

IN 2018, COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION RAISED OVER $100,000 TO FUND 2019 IMPACT GRANTS TO COBB-BASED NON-PROFITS WHO COULD CREATE AN IMMEDIATE AND SIGNIFICANT RETURN WITH A RELATIVELY MODEST AMOUNT. THE FOUNDATION ADMINISTERED AN APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS RESULTING IN GRANTS RANGING FROM $5,000 TO $10,000 BEING AWARDED TO 15 ORGANIZATIONS. THE PRESENTATION OF THESE GRANTS AFFORDED AN OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE THESE ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS RAISE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE FOUNDATION.

COBB COMMUNITY FOUNDATION DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED COBB COMMUNITY CONNECTION, AN ONLINE REPOSITORY OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND PROGRAMS. THE CONNECTION IS AVAILABLE AT NO COST FOR ALL NON-PROFITS SERVING COBB COUNTY TO SHARE WHO THEY ARE, WHAT THEY DO, WHO THEY SERVE, WHERE THEY SERVE AND WHAT THEY NEED. ACCESSIBLE FROM OUR WEBSITE, THE CONNECTION IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE FOR COBB COUNTIANS TO FIND NEEDED SERVICES NEEDED AS WELL AS TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES TO VOLUNTEER AND CONTRIBUTE.
