FWHC offers its Community Education & Advocacy Network (CEAN) programsand services to approximately 5,000 individuals annually by providing education, outreach, grassroots organizing, public policy work, andadvocacy to protect and advance access to health care. CEANsempowering volunteer program develops activists and leaders for FWHC,the larger community and the reproductive rights, health, and justicemovement. Each year, nearly 50 active volunteers engage in leadershiptraining, internship programs, community outreach, house meetings,classroom education, advocacy skills training and much more. CEAN participates in and is a leader of a variety of coalition efforts toimprove inequalities in health care for underserved communities and to advance public policies affecting access to health care
