To improve the overall health and well-being of young people in Georgia to ensure a more powerful future for us all.
Comprehensive Sex Education - One of GCAPP's steadfast and foundational beliefs is that sex ed is for life. GCAPP recognizes that young people need and deserve sex ed, and that it should be given parity in the classroom and taught just as any other subject. GCAPP currently works with 15 school districts, 209 schools through the state and serves nearly 50,000 students with age appropriate, medically accurate comprehensive sex education.
Youth Empowerment - GCAPP helps young people avoid situations that can result in lifelong, difficult circumstances that, statistically, many will never overcome. Our Youth Advisory Council members help us design training, curricula, and online content that is relevant and valuable for their peers while serving as ambassadors for our mission in their home communities and on college campuses. Through our college strategy, we partner with campus health and wellness departments to integrate sexual health information into online coursework.
