Organizations Filed Purposes: TO CONNECT, EDUCATE AND ENGAGE AUDIENCES WITH THE CREATIVE INDUSTRY BY SUPPORTING ARTISTS AND PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR THEIR WORK. WE CHAMPION CULTURAL DISCOVERY, FOSTER ARTISTIC GROWTH AND ADVOCATE FOR DIVERSE VOICES IN FILM AND MEDIA ARTS, BOTH LOCALLY AND WORLDWIDE. THE ATLANTA FILM FESTIVAL WORKS YEAR-ROUND TO DEVELOP FILM LOVERS OF THE FUTURE THROUGH SCREENINGS, EVENTS, SOCIAL NETWORKING, AND BY PRESENTING A WORLD CLASS FESTIVAL.

2020 ATLANTA FILM FESTIVAL: AN INTERNATIONALLY RESPECTED AND ACADEMY AWARD-QUALIFYING FESTIVAL, THE 2020 ATLANTA FILM FESTIVAL SCREENED NEARLY 170 FILMS OVER THE COURSE OF TEN DAYS FROM SEPTEMBER 17TH TO 27TH (RE- SCHEDULED TO THE FALL DUE TO COVID-19). IN ADDITION TO SCREENINGS, THE EVENT FEATURED A SERIES OF SEMINARS, CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS "CREATIVE CONFERENCE," A DAILY PROGRAM OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION Q&A'S WITH EXPERTS IN VARIOUS SUBFIELDS OF THE FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRIES. ATTENDEES AND FILMMAKERS INTERACTED WITH THESE GUESTS VIRTUALLY AND AT DRIVE-INS AND A FEW INDOOR SCREENINGS (MODIFIED FOR COVID-19 GUIDELINES. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED OVER 50,000 IN CONTRIBUTED SERVICES SUCH AS CONSULTING,ADVERTISING. VIDEO SERVICES, MARKETING, TECHNICAL SERVICES AS WELL AS DONATED USAGE OF FACILITIES IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE FESTIVAL. THESE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN REVENUES, EXPENSES, OR GRANTS ON THE 990.

CLASSES/WORKSHOPS: 45 AFFORDABLE ACTING, WRITING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, DIRECTING,AND PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS PROVIDED BEGINNING AND ASPIRING FILMMAKERS PRACTICAL INFORMATION AND LOW-COST HANDS-ON TRAINING. ENROLLMENT RANGED FROM 10 TO 100 STUDENTS PER CLASS WITH AN ANNUAL ATTENDANCE OF OVER 4,000 - ALL CLASSES WERE VIRTUAL DUE TO COVID-19 GUIDELINES. PA ACADEMY: ATLFS PARTNERED WITH GEORGIA PRODUCTION PARTNERSHIP (GPP),PRODUCER LINDA BURNS AND OTHERS, TO PUT ON THREE PA ACADEMY PROGRAMS IN 2020. EACH PROGRAM TOOK PLACE VIRTUALLY AND INCLUDED 75-100 STUDENTS. THE PA ACADEMY HELPED ASPIRING PRODUCERS LEARN THE BASIC SKILL SETS EXPECTED FROM PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS IN TODAY'S FILM & TELEVISION INDUSTRIES, AS WELL AS PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL COACHING AND INSIGHT ON HOW TO FIND OPPORTUNITIES IN THIS FIELD.

ATLANTA FILM FESTIVAL SCREENPLAY COMPETITION: OVER 1200 SCREENWRITERS FROM ALL OVER THE GLOBE SUBMITTED WORKS FOR CRITIQUE AND GENERAL FEEDBACK TO POLISH AND REFINE THEIR SCRIPTS FOR STYLE & MARKETABILITY. THREE WINNERS WERE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN A THREE-DAY VIRTUAL WRITER'SRETREAT. THE WINNERS RECEIVED 1 ON 1 AND COLLABORATIVE INSTRUCTION FROM LEADING, ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONAL SCREENWRITERS THROUGH A SERIES OF VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS. ATLFS ALSO STAGED READINGS DURING THIS WEEKEND, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SAG/AFTRA. SELECTIONS OF THE WINNING SCREENPLAYS WERE READ BY LOCAL ACTORS WHILE ASPIRING WRITERS PITCHED IDEAS BETWEEN SCREENPLAYS.
