As a Faith Based Charity, Life For Children Ministry is committed to providing food, shelter, education, healthcare and spiritual nourishment to HIV/AIDS Orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya, Africa.
MISSION TRIPS is a project done through the partnership of spirited mission teams. These teams are prepped through our knowledgeable staff and trip logistics who plan and execute our mission goals. This gives them the opportunity to minister in a foreign land.The following missions were successful:1. Kenya - 4/27/19 Medhope African,AL sent 9 people to Kisumu and Wachara Life for Children. They provided medical outreach to 800 participants.2. Jefferson First UMC, GA. On 5/19/19, 13 people provided a team that helped with building a dormitory and two homes for widows.3. Cherry Log Church, GA. On 6/5/19, 13 peopled provided help with building a classroom and constructing two homes for widows.4. Vision Team in 10/14/19 had 12 people provide construction teams to help build two homes and paint the classrooms.
Childrens Programs:THE ORPHANS focuses on providing vulnerable children with a home,food, education, medical assistance, and the love of Jesus Christ. This program assisted approximately 300 children in 2019. STREET KIDS MINISTRY is dedicated to feeding kids living on the streets and dumps of Kisumu. Besides feeding them, we have church with them every Sunday. This program provided meals to more than 400 boys in 2019.CHRISTMAS MEALS provides meals to the Life for Children families during the Christmas season. We were able to provide families with beef, cooking oil, flour, soap, maize and other assorted foods. Through the generosity of giving churches and individuals in the U.S., we were able to accomplish this needed ministry.
KISUMU-WACHARA PROJECTS:St Anthony Wachara Christian SchoolWater Well/bore Hole. In the Wachara community, it was the first time they had clean piped drinking water. This was accomplished in 2019.WIDOW HOUSES. We built 7 low cost homes for widows in 2019.MICRO FINANCE. Through our efforts in Micro Finance, we have reached out to 1700 women.
