To provide quality enrichment programs in a safe, loving, Christian environment while providing families with various resources that will empower and encourage them.
The Paradise Atlanta Enrichment Center [PAWKids] After-School Program activities include: daily devotions, art enrichment (painting, puppetry), homework help and tutoring services (PAWKids Educational Program), music (guitar, keyboard, music production), STEM activities, PAWKonomy a financial literacy program, and sports (flag football, basketball, soccer, tennis, and track). Other services include behavioral and mental health services, clothes closet, food pantry, haircuts, healthy snacks, and local school partnerships. PAWKids Educational Program (PEP) is based on initial reading assessments at the start of the school year, every student enrolled with PAWKids has a PEP Action Plan to capitalize on strengths and target weaknesses. During PAWKids enrichment and homework time, students work in small groups and individually on academic skills related to their personalized PEP. During 2019, the program focused on 33 children enrolled during the academic year and offered these services from 3 pm - 6pm during the week with 9 Saturday field trips throughout the year.
Summer Enrichment includes day camps, overnight camps and field trips. Previous partnerships have been with Camp All American in Johns Creek, Camp Grace, Camp Evergreen in Clarksville, GA, God's Farm in Temple, GA, Grace Camp in Marietta, GA and Atlanta Westside Presbyterian VBS. Summer field trips have been to Stone Mountain & Helen Georgia, New York City, Estes Park Colorado, Navarre Beach Florida, and Montgomery/Tuskegee Alabama.
The Community Outreach program was developed to build stronger families and in turn stronger communities by providing the community with the tools and skills they need to thrive. Through this program, parents are taught by community partners and include bible studies, CPR classes, GED training, nutrition and cooking classes to name a few. In addition, medical clinics are offered six times per year to provide general health screening to those individuals without access to healthcare. Finally, benevolences are made for emergency rent assistance, disaster support and food.
