Southeast Makers Alliance is the hub for Southern Makers. We are dedicated to building and nurturing a diverse community of Makers in the South for the purpose of education, personal enrichment and economic development.
FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2019 SOUTHEAST MAKERS ALLIANCE OPERATED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:COMMUNITYOur Community Engagement efforts include connecting communities and individuals with Maker Spaces/Hacker Spaces in their area and providing opportunities for Makers to show and tell about what they make through Maker Faires and related events.EDUCATIONThrough MakEdu.org, Southeast Makers Alliance engages educators throughout the Southeast, enabling them to share resources and ideas to bring making into the classroom in meaningful ways.CONFERENCESIn 2019 over 4000 people attended the Maker Faire Atlanta.
