The Strozier Autism Center provides academic, social and functional services for non-speaking children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, for children age 8 and over.
The Strozier Autism Center focuses on improving Academic, Functional and Social Skills for non-speaking children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, over the age of 8. We've found that using a Teach from Success approach paired with the use of proven and evidence-based approaches and unique education plans allows our students to quickly acquire and maintain needed skills. Non-speaking means a student is unable to successfully have complex communication. However the students can successfully communicate their wants and needs using one to two word phrases, sporadic sentences, pointing, making noises and/or challenging behavior. Each individual plan created for a student is unique and may include Speech, Occupational, Music and/or Physical therapy.
