Children's services - Our Early Learning Academy provides a comprehensive child development program for 178 children (ages six weeks through five years) that facilitates the maximum possible growth and development of each child socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually while remaining affordable for their parents. We provide 66 children with a free Pre-K program certified and funded by Ga. State Lottery (Bright from the Start). Augmenting our Early Learning Academy are other programs such as summer camps and after school programs.
Teen Girls in Technology (TGI Tech) - Seeks to increase girls interest, confidence and competence in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by annually helping young women (ages 12-18) from title 1 schools overcome barriers and sterotypes in these areas. No fees are charged for this program, making it unique to other similar programs for girls in the city. Of the 50 girls who started with the TGI Tech program 8 years ago, in sixth grade, 90% of them finished the program, graduated from high school and went to college. The many of these young women are majoring in STEM subjects.
ADVOCACY DEPARTMENT - MERGED WITH GEORGIA WOMEN FOR A CHANGE ON JULY 1, 2014 TO CREATE AN ADVOCACY DEPARTMENT THAT ENABLES THE AGENCY TO INFLUENCE PUBLIC POLICY THAT DIRECTLY IMPACTS WOMEN AND GIRLS, FAMILIES, THE ELDERLY, MINORITIES, AND THE UNDERSERVED AND UNDERREPRESENTED.
