The Organization provides membership services to public housing and redevelopment authorities through networking, conferences, training, and services to affiliated vendors. The estimated number of agencies served is 180 and approximately 50 vendors. The objective to provide a clearinghouse of ideas and experiences toward a more completed understanding of public housing and community development in Georgia was achieved based on member satisfaction.
The Organization provides training and educational conferences, meetings, workshops, and seminars to members to foster general policies related to planning, construction, administration, and management relative to public housing, assisted housing, urban development and community development. These training sessions served approximately 1500 participants over approximately 30 days in the current year.
The Organization provides scholarships to high school and adult recipients who reside in public or assisted housing. The Organization awarded more than a dozen scholarships during the current year at a cost of $34,250.
