Organizations Filed Purposes:
MWHR is committed to providing a safe haven for previously owned mustangs, wild horses and burros that are no longer wanted by their owners or those that have been abandoned, abused, and/or neglected by their owners. MWHR rehabilitates the horses so they can successfully be re-adopted.
MWHR is committed to providing a safe haven for abandoned, abused and/or neglected mustangs, wild horses and burros. The organization provides rehabilitation, medical care and training for all of our animals. This includes feed/hay, veterinary expenses, transportation, farrier expenses and training costs. In addition, the organization incurs expenses associated with pasture and farm upkeep to provide a safe environment for our horses to live until they are adopted into new homes. The organization's goal is to find permanent approved homes for the rescued animals. The organization is staffed by volunteers who provide the day to day care of the animals.
MWHR volunteers attend numerous local events in order to educate the community about our mission and the political battles facing mustangs and burros in the western United States. The organization is staffed by volunteers who distribute information and speak to the general public about our mission, as well as spread awareness through various social media outlets.
