CDFI GRANT - THE CDFI PROGRAM USES MONETARY AWARDS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO INVEST IN AND BUILD THE CAPACITY OF CDFI'S, EMPOWERING THEM TO GROW, ACHIEVE ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY AND DRIVE COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE GRANTS ARE OFFERED TO CDFI'S AND CERTIFIABLE CDFI'S TO BUILD THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS EMPOWER CDFI'S TO GROW, ACHIEVE ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE REVITALIZATION OF THE COMMUNITY THEY SERVE.
HRSA 19-RCORP PROJECT TITLE:HEALTHIE GA SOUTHEAST RURAL COMMUNITY OPIOID RESPONSE. FUNDING REQUEST: 1,000,000 PER YEAR FOR 3 YEARS AWARD RECIPIENTS WILL RECEIVE UP TO 1 MILLION EACH OVER A THREE-YEAR PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE TO IMPLEMENT A SET OF EVIDENCE-BASED INTERVENTIONS AND PROMISING PRACTICES THAT ALIGN WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES'S FIVE-POINT STRATEGY TO COMBAT THE OPIOID CRISIS. THE RURAL COMMUNITIES OPIOID RESPONSE PROGRAM WILL SUPPORT HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE, TELEHEALTH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (BH) AND BH CARE COORDINATION, RESULTING IN IMPROVED BEHAVORIAL HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR GEORGIA'S MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED CITIZENS LIVING IN THESE SOUTHEAST GEORGIA COUNTIES OF PERSISTENT POVERTY. RCCORP-IMPLEMENTATION AIMS TO STRENGTHEN AND EXPAND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER (SUD), INCLUDING OPIOID USE DISORDER (OUD) PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND RECOVERY SERVICES IN RURAL AREAS.
EMPOWERHEALTH - THE GRANT WAS GIVEN LAST YEAR AND ONLY EXPENSES EXIST FOR THIS YEAR. EMPOWERHEALTH IS A HEALTHCARE GEORGIA FOUNDATION CAPACITY BUILDING GRANT PROGRAM. THE FOUNDATION LAUNCHED EMPOWERHEALTH AS A TWO-YEAR PROGRAM WHICH REPLACED THE PREVIOUS GENERAL OPERATING GRANT PROGRAM. HEALTHIE GEORGIA WAS ONE OF THE NONPROFITS IDENTIFIED AS ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING AS A PRIORITY FUNDING NEED.
