Organizations Filed Purposes: The mission of Mentor Me is to serve at-risk school age children and youth, in need of positive role models; to help them grow into healthy and productive members of our society and community.

MENTORING PROGRAM - Mentor Me North Georgia connects youth to trusted adult volunteers who serve as positive role models. These volunteers serve as mentors through one-to-one and group mentoring programs. Significant activities for 2019: We impacted the lives of 795 children and youth through our different mentoring programs. In our One-on-One mentoring program, we served 117 children in 2019. We aim to have children in supportive mentoring relationships for at least one year. Among the 117 children, 60% of our matches in 2019 have reached that milestone, and 36% were new matches within the year of 2019. On average, children stay matched for 2.8 years, and results show the benefits- 85% are more confident, 89% improved their behavior, and 78% are doing better academically. Another 142 elementary school students benefited from our REACH reading and homework help program, where 100% of students improved their reading level and 77% improved up to reading at grade level vs. 39.5% at the beginning of the year. We impacted 527 teens in our Kick it Up group mentoring program, where 66% of students are on track to graduate and 88% had fewer discipline referrals. In our FASTER program, the 11 teens selected for scholarships were high school seniors on track to graduate high school in 2020 as the first in their families to attend college.
