American Legion Post 247 exists to support and care for local veterans, to mentor youth in the local community, and to promote patriotism at a local grassroots level.
Post 247 encourages local high school & college bound students to excel in their academic pursuits and as an incentive grants scholarships to deserving students. During 2019, local chapter supported 11 local students by granting them scholarships.
