Emergency Housings Assistance. The organization entered into a grant agreement with Threshold Ministries of the Decatur Presbyterian Church providing funding for up to one month's rent or mortgage payment for eligible people to avoid homelessness. Threshold is to make payments to the client's landlord or morgage holder and is to provide DEAM with a monthly report to include the client names, family composition, contact information, DOB, last four digits of the Social Security Number, and the name and contact information of the landlord or lender receiving funds. The grant funds were disbursed to Threshold upon execution of the grant agreement. In the event the grant funds are not used by the expiration date of the grant, the parties may, but are not required to extend the term of the agreement. In 2020 Threshold documented assistance to 14 households (30 persons) of rent assistance in the amount of $13,185.48. The largest single grant was $1,400.
