Organizations Filed Purposes:
Provide a safe environment for children to participate in team sports and leadership development.
Youth and Elite Football Camps - Eric Berry Foundation Youth and Elite camps welcomed a total of 1,015 athletes/campers, male and female ages 8 - 18 in Knoxville, Kansas City and Atlanta. The Elite HS camp was held in Fairburn, GA with 88 HS students all vying for three scholarships. To be eligible, they submitted an essay and received high scores throughout the camp in skill and leadership.
Backpacks - EBF continued the existing backpack programing Missouri and Georgia, with 800 backpacks dispersed to the local students, church organizations and schools.
Toy Drive - EBF continued another successful year of Stock the Shoppe Toy Drive benefitting Children's Mercy. Funds raised through raffle, auctions, and donation totaled a new high of $21,500. These funds are donated to the Child Life department of Children's Mercy to assist in the environment of the children through games, enrichment classes, birthday parties, toys, and specialty equipment for their play. Over 4500 items were gathered through the support of the city totaling over $50,000 worth of toys, books, clothes, legos, dolls, teen and infant items. These items fill the Snowflake Shoppe inside of CMH so the parents may shop at no cost for the child in the hospital.
