Square Foot Ministry is a faith-based organization made up of representatives from Christian churches in the Fayette County GA area. The mission is to provide home repairs and safe, affordable housing for families who would otherwise not be able to purchase home or afford the repairs. All work except for what is required to be done by licensed professionals (e.g. electric, plumbing) is done by volunteers.
Build new homes and make repairs or improvements to existing homes for needy families in Fayette and Spalding Counties (Georgia); assist other non-profit organizations with repairs or additions to their facilities; sponsor service projects for youth in area churches. Square Foot Ministry built an 800 s.f. home in Port St. Joe FL for an elderly man whose home had been severely damaged during Hurricane Michael in 2018. This was done in cooperation with the Alabama/West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Small projects completed in Fayette County and Spalding County GA: Repair of two houses, one damaged by broken pipes and the other by fire.
Minor small projects at other houses that cost less than $5,000 per house and purchase of tools needed to complete projects.
