OUR MISSION is to serve individuals and families impacted by addiction by connecting them to the support they need and removing barriers that prevent them from getting and staying well.2019 was a pivotal year for Navigate Recovery, as we witnessed continual growth in the number of people we serve through our programs.At Safe Harbor, our addiction recovery support center, we made 15,429 contacts through our trainings and workshops. This includes Family Support Training, Mental Health First Aid, Naloxone Training to reverse Opioid overdose, Recovery Oriented Systems of Care, Science of Addiction and Recovery and Wellness Recovery workshops. Our community outreach efforts included training Law enforcement officers and first responders in addiction crisis intervention. We also are part of the Gwinnett Healthcare Roundtable which prioritized mental health and substance addiction as 2 of 3 primary health crisis in the community.Through our Lifeline Mobile Crisis Response Program our trained peer Recovery Coaches are dispatched 24/7/365 to connect directly with individuals and families who have experienced an opiate overdose, are at high risk for an overdose, or other substance use emergencies including alcohol. We made 908 in-hospital connections with people and placed 13,595 remote support calls to encourage those we met to connect and stay in addiction recoveryFinally, in 2019 we launched Navigate Recovery Wellness, LLC (a subsidiary of Sojourn Ministries, Inc.) and began converting a 14-bedroom bed and breakfast in Flowery Branch into a fully appointed recovery center that will operate as a separate, partner organization within the Navigate Recovery family.Christened as Lightway Recovery for Women, this is safe place for women, staffed and run by a team of women in successful, sustained recovery. In addition to women at all life stages, Lightway Recovery also has the distinction of serving pregnant and postpartum women recovering from addiction.Finally, in 2019 we launched Navigate Recovery Wellness, LLC (a subsidiary of Sojourn Ministries, Inc.). Our first endeavor was to begin work on Lightway Recovery for Women, a long-term addiction recovery and wellness center, supporting women with dignity and respect as they begin or continue the transformative journey of lifelong recovery. Lightway Recovery will be opening in 2020.
