Organizations Filed Purposes:
This Corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for scientific, educational and charitable purposes. In the furtherance of such purposes, it shall be authorized: (A) To advance the general welfare of mankind through the resources and creative abilities of the industrial and systems engineering profession; (B) To advance the art and science of industrial and systems engineering for the general welfare of mankind; (C) To encourage and assist education and research in the art and science of industrial and systems engineering; (D) To promote the unrestricted dissemination of knowledge and information by means of meetings and publications relating to the art and science of industrial and systems engineering; (E) To assist colleges and universities in the development of educational programs in the art and science of industrial and systems engineering.
To provide knowledge, training, networking opportunities and recognition to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the industrial and systems engineering profession and those individuals involved with improving quality and productivity.
Conferences & Seminars - Three conferences and 116 seminars serving 4,815 attendees promoting industrial and systems engineering.
Member Services - Assist all members (13,428) in the dissemination of educational information such as periodicals, books, conferences, seminars and technical referrals so as to advance the professional needs of the industrial and systems engineering community. As part of member services the organization also issued the following publications promoting industrial and systems engineering: ISE Magazine (monthly, circulation 7,351), Industrial Management (6/year, circulation 465), Engineering Economist (quarterly, circulation 71), Transactions (monthly, circulation 55), Transactions on Healthcare Systems Engineering (quarterly, circulation 117), Transactions on Occupational Ergonomics (quarterly, circulation 216).
