HOSTED ONE MEDICAL SERVICE TRIP TO PERU WITH A TEAM OF 12 MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. THEY HELD A TWO-DAY CLINIC FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN OUR NUEVO CAMINO PROGRAM AND ALSO TRAVELED TO A REMOTE VILLAGE IN THE ANDES MOUNTAINS TO PROVIDE HEALTH EDUCATION. HOSTED ONE SUMMER TEACHERS SERVICE TRIP TO CUSCO FOR 15 VOLUNTEERS. THE GROUP OFFERED CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES AND FRIENDSHIP TO THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN OUR NUEVO CAMINO PROGRAM. EXPANDED OUR WORK IN PERU TO LIMA IN ORDER TO RESPOND TO THE URGENT NEEDS OF DISPLACED PEOPLE FROM VENEZUELA NOW LIVING IN LIMA. INITIATED HOUSING SUPPORT AND JOB COACHING FOR 30 INDIVIDUALS. RETAINED 68 DONORS FROM 2018 AND SECURED AN ADDITIONAL 53 NEW DONORS, ENDING THE YEAR WITH 152,366 IN DONATIONS. 2020 GOALS: - SECURE SAFE HOUSING FOR AT LEAST 100 PEOPLE IN LIMA, PERU. - FOCUS SUPPORT ON THREE VULNERABLE POPULATIONS -- SINGLE MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN FLEEING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, REFUGEES FROM VENEZUELA, AND AGING RESIDENTS OF LIMA WITHOUT FAMILY TIES. - PROVIDE JOB COACHING, CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY FOR TARGET GROUPS LIVING IN OUR SUPPORTED HOUSING IN LIMA. - SECURE FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT OUR PROGRAMS. TARGET GOAL IS 30,000 PER MONTH TO COVER OPERATING EXPENSES. - DEVELOP MORE RELATIONSHIPS WITH EXISTING NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, UNIVERSITIES, BUSINESSES AND OTHERS IN PERU AND THE UNITED STATES WHO ARE INTERESTED IN SIMILAR TARGET POPULATIONS.
