HIGH MEADOWS SCHOOLS INNOVATIVE, INQUIRY-BASED, INTEGRATED CURRICULUM EMPHASIZES LOVE OF LEARNING, CREATIVITY, MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS, ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND EXCELLENCE. THE SCHOOL IS A HIGHLY RESPECTED AND CONSISTENTLY RECOGNIZED FOR BEST PRACTICES BY MAJOR EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, INCLUDING THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE ORGANIZATION AND SAIS/SACS. AUXILIARY PROGRAMS ENCOMPASS CAMP, EXTENDED CARE AND AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS. EXTENDED CARE CONSISTS OF BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE FOR STUDENTS AND OFFERS BOTH STRUCTURED (ART, GAMES) AND UNSTRUCTURED ACTIVITIES AND INDOOR AND OUTDOOR PLAY TIME. AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS ARE INTENSIVE ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS ART, DANCE, YOGA, COOKING, MUSIC AND VARIOUS ATHLETICS THAT RUN FOR TWO 10-12 WEEK SESSIONS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. A RELAXED AND CARING ATMOSPHERE SET ON 40 ACRES IN ROSWELL, HIGH MEADOWS CAMP OFFERS CHILDREN AGES 315 OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELF-DISCOVERY THROUGH AGE-APPROPRIATE ACTIVITIES DIRECTED AT PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS, AND NON-COMPETITIVE ACHIEVEMENT. EXEMPLARY STAFF MEMBERS LEAD ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ARCHERY, ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS, WOODWORKING, CANOEING, CRAFTS, SWIMMING, DRAMA, NATURE, AND SPORTS. SINCE 1973, WE HAVE PROVIDED OUTSTANDING TRADITIONAL OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES ENRICHING LIVES IN A CARING, NURTURING, CHILD-CENTERED SETTING.
