Organizations Filed Purposes:
TO DEVELOP YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN OF MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL AGE THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN THE SPORT OF ROWING.
SAINT ANDREW ROWING CLUB IS AN INDEPENDENT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION WHICH PROMOTES THE VALUES OF COMMITMENT, HARD WORK, DEDICATION, SPORTSMANSHIP, TEAMWORK AND SELF DEVELOPMENT BY TEACHING THE SPORT OF ROWING TO YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN OF MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL AGE.
DURING THE YEAR, SAINT ANDREW ROWING CLUB CONDUCTED ROWING TRAINING THAT INCLUDED: A TEN WEEK LONG FALL COURSE AND A TWELVE WEEK LONG SPRING COURSE DURING WHICH PROSPECTIVE NOCIE ROWERS AND RETURNING VARSITY ROWERS WERE TRAINED IN THE SPORT OF CREW. SESSIONS WERE GENERALLY HELD FROM 4:30 PM TO 7:00 PM DAILY AND THREE HOURS ON SATURDAY. THE CLUB TRAINED APPROXIMATELY 200 YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN THESE SESSIONS. DURING THE FALL AND SPRING SESSIONS, THE CLUB ENTERED ITS ROWERS IN A VARIETY OF REGATTA COMPETITIONS IN FLORIDA, GEORGIA AND TENNESSEE. THE CLUB ALSO CONDUCTED A WEEK LONG SUMMER LEARN-TO-ROW CAMP AND AN EIGHT WEEK LONG WINTER CAMP TO INTRODUCE NOVICE ROWERS TO THE SPORT AND TO ENABLE EXISTING ROWERS TO MAINTAIN THEIR LEVEL OF PHYSICAL CONDITIONING.
