To provide powerful curriculum and community training model leveraging communications-skill exercises and narrative interventions for improving psychological well-being and promoting positive change.
This is a U.S. State Department grant from the NEA office. It began in December 2018 and ended in March 2020. We served refugees in Turkey and Lebanon with our # MeWeSyria program which enhances communications for improved psychological wellbeing,leadership development and community engagement. We reached more than 700 Syrian refugees and completed more than 4 training of trainers sessions.
Ford Foundation-The Organization has made English to Arabic translation of program materials and made curriculum redevelopment needs in 2018. The 300K grant is for 24 months ending in September 2020 and is a general support grant for personnel costs,travel expenses and improvement of the curriculum and scaling of activities in Jordan. We targeted more than 500 refugee youth in zaatari refugee camp in Jordan and completed more than 3 training and workshops.
The Quiet/Wend unrestricted grant was received to help fund and strengthen the position of the Executive Director,support organizational needs and fund future growth in the organization. The results are that the organizations revenues from all sources have grown from $167,000 in 2018 to $573,000 in 2019.
