Organizations Filed Purposes:
To assist in economic development primarily in rural areas to identify, promote, create and/or pursue emerging opportunities in the field of nanotechnology; form a consortia to partner with the US Army in the development of nano technology R&D prototype efforts.
Educational and workforce development of economically deteriorated (HUBzone status by SBA) community in nanotechnology manufacturing; Nano Valley Consortirum(NVC) as part of NNMC Inc joined with small business and traditional large business and became the first consortium to be awarded an Other Transaction Agreement from the Army for Nano Technology Prototype Development. The Army has awarded 7 projects under this OTA for various R&D prototyping efforts. The three projects awarded under the OTA which NNMC Inc is the prime performer are:Nontraditional Defense Contract Discovery and Expansion. The second project awarded to NNMC from the Army is to analyze and futher develop and Army developed Integrated Data Environment. The third project involves the design and build of a revolutionary piece of equipment to be used for rapid fabrication and delivery of prototype parts/components to the Army.
