Hope Services Hawaii brings to life gospel values of justice, love, compassion and hope through service, empowerment and advocacy.
HOPE provides specialized, housing-focused interventions to end homelessness through a continuum of services including homeless outreach, case management, resource referral services, advocacy, representative payee services, emergency and transitional shelter, housing placement, emergency financial assistance, community reintegration programs, permanent supportive housing, service-enriched housing, and financial empowerment initiatives. We support people overcome the adversity of experiencing homelessness because we believe that all people deserve a home. In fiscal year 2019, HOPE provided services to 731 households overall, comprised of 1,551 people experiencing homelessness on Hawaii Island. Our homeless outreach team connected with 283 households, comprised of 473 people, including 135 children living unsheltered. We helped 288 households obtain permanent housing, comprised of 769 people, including 20 veterans.
