Organizations Filed Purposes: Common Grace is a program that facilitates relationships between local Church volunteers and public schools. Common Grace volunteers are recruited from the local Church and go to the neighborhood public schools to mentor children in libraries, classrooms, gyms, and school cafeterias. Common Grace seeks to use imaginative, fun and helpful involvement with kids to build a stronger future for our wider community YouthGrace, a program under the Common Grace division partners exceptional juniors and seniors in local high schools with disadvantaged kids in the nearby elementary school. High School mentors who are chosen for YouthGrace demonstrate excellence academically, socially and in the community. Students are interviewed and handpicked by teachers and counselors. Once they are trained to become mentors, they are carefully matched with a child in an elementary school and spend an hour a week with them giving them their undevided attention.

Common Grace facilitates relationships between local Churches and neighborhood public schools in the State of Hawaii. A total number of about 120 children were matched with mentors from their neighborhood church. The mentor goes to the public schools and meets with their kids one to one, one hour a week. Common Grace has mentored over 2200 kids since the year 2003. In the school year of 2018/2019, we have helped over 200 kids who needed caring mentors. These kids needed friends who listened and gave them a one to one attention. The positive result including improved self-esteem, truancy, and improved behavior choices. YouthGrace partners exceptional juniors and seniors in local high schools with disadvantaged kids in nearby elementary school. YouthGrace partners are trained to become mentors, carefully matched with a child in an elementary school and spend an hour a week with them giving their undivided attention.

Malama Mentors partners exceptional juniors and seniors in Local High School with disadvantaged kids in a nearby Elementary School, High School mentors who are chosen for Malama Mentors demonstrate excellence academically, socially and in the community, students are interviewed and handpicked by teachers and counselors. Once trained, these High School students are carefully matched with a child in an Elementary School and spend an hour a week with them giving their undivided attention.

Through Fundraising Common Grace is able to seek and gather voluntary financial contributions to facilitate the relationship between local church volunteers and public schools. Common Grace seeks to use imaginative, fun, and helpful involvement with kids to build a stronger future for our wider community.
