NEW TECHNOLOGY AIDS THAT MAY IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR BLIND MEMBERS INCLUDE PERIODIC PROJECTS OFFERING ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY AIDS SUCH AS THE VICTOR READER, STREAM AND IPAD, AND PROPER TRAINING AND SUPPORT ON ALL DEVICES.GDOH ALSO OFFER DAILY LIVING AIDS SO THAT MEMBERS ARE ABLE TO KEEP THEIR INDEPENDENCE WITH DAILY TASKS SUCH AS KEEP TRACK OF TIME, IDENTIFY THE COLORS OF THEIR WARDROBE, POUR A HOT CUP OF COFFEE, IDENTIFY THEIR CURRENCY, OR CHECK THEIR BLOOD PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE AND MORE GUIDE DOG SERVICES.IT IS GDOH'S STRONG BELIEF THAT MAINTAINING A GUIDE DOG'S OPTIMAL WELLNESS IS PARAMOUNT TO ENSURING THE DOG'S HIGH-LEVEL PERFORMANCE ALONG WITH ONGOING MOBILITY INSTRUCTOR SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE CAREER OF THE GUIDE DOGS.
